4 Generations

Chris' grandmother Holzheimer passed away today at 94.  I can't believe we both lost our grandmothers within a month and a half of each other!  I never really got to know her because right when Chris and I met, they moved her to Nashville to an assisted living facility and she wasn't doing too well then.  Everyone seems to be doing fine and they are glad that she is not in pain anymore.  Here are the 4 generations...

Titan Up

Chris and I were able to go where few have gone before...the Tennessee Titans training facility and practice field!!  It was awesome!!  The American Cancer Society had a fundraising event at the new facility and we volunteered so that we could get in on the action.  It started with titans game film, which I did not get to see because I was working the silent auction.  Then Chris' group came into the cafeteria where the silent auction was being held and where Carraba's was serving everyone dinner.  The coaches came in to eat right after Chris' group left.  I saw Bruce Matthews (hall of famer) and the new titans head coach - Mike Munchak. That was pretty cool.  After this group was done eating, I tagged along and did the rest of the tour.  We went to the locker room...

Then we went through the locker room to the weight room and then to The Bubble which holds their practice field.

After the tour, their was a live auction which went very well!!  Such a great night but then it was time to go home...

Goodnight Titans...you need your rest to kick some ass this season!

Running just as fast as you can...

Chris and I ran our first 5k this weekend!  We did the East Nashville Tomato Festival 5k.  I have never run over about 1.2 miles so I was sooooooo nervous but I made and here are a few photos...

We finished in 39:35...well I did and Chris was 39:36 and I was 2 places above him at 891 out of 1106 finishers!  Not gonna win any races but we finished!  He said the could've passed me but that he wanted to run with me...he probably could've so that was really sweet!! Don't tell him I said that though!  I will deny it!

Thirty-One flavors...

Well I have started a new venture!  As of about 30 (or maybe it was 31) minutes ago I am officially a Thirty-One Consultant.  Thirty-One specializes in bags, wallets, purses and many other monogrammable items to help women stay organized and look good while doing it!  This is done through home parties that people host and invite others to purchase products so that they can receive free and discounted products!  I am not doing this just for the free products but because I want to find a fun way to make a little extra money each month!   Chris and I want to pay down on our home, save for a down payment on a new home, pay cash for new cars and one day start a family!  This takes a little bit of time and money and want to speed it up a little bit!  Really, I just think this would be fun and a reason to get friends together over food and drinks!!  My kind of fun!

Girls Nights...much needed

Had a great night with some of my girlfriends at SATCO (San Antonio Taco Company).  It was Melessa, Liza, Katie Pigott and myself!  We sat on the patio and with their amazing fans you would have never known that it had been 100 degrees just an hour earlier!!  Tacos, cheese dip and some great girls!  Love it...until I dropped my phone in the garbage!  oops...
