Preggo

Well not a whole lot has been going on but just doing things to get ready for the little one that is arriving in May!  We had a wonderful Christmas with most of our family (did not get to see the VanFleets) and now getting ready for New Years this weekend!  Guess who is the driver??!!  haha  We have been looking at nursery furniture and day cares.  Both are big decisions for the care of our little boy and financially!  Got the new carpet yesterday so whenever we find furniture, we will be ready to set it up.  We had an ultrasound 2 weeks ago by a friend of ours who is an ultrasound tech but not the baby kind but we all agreed ITS A BOY!!!!!  We showed our doctor that week and she said it had to be!  Trying to decide on the perfect name and thinking about Wilford Scott Kormos (Ford).  We both really like it but just want to make sure before we make a final decision!  Lots of things to think about when your preggo...

Birthday night(s)!

I had such a great 31st birthday!  I was out of town with work until Saturday night and when I got home Chris, Joanne and Jeremy were at my house.  We watched the UT game and hung out.  Then on Sunday we all went to church and then to Brewhouse 100 for beers and a long day of football!  Chris and I went home that night, ordered a pizza and then we went to bed!  Chris wasn't very happy that he did not get to do what he had planned so Wednesday night we had my 2nd bday celebration.  I got home from work and Chris got home an hour later...he went to whole foods and got my favorite fish, chiliean sea bass and he also made my birthday scallops!!!

Such an awesome meal!  and then he gave me a new titans t-shirt!

I love it and I love him!  great birthday

Labor Day Adventure

What a great holiday weekend!  Chris and I woke up early Saturday morning and headed to gorgeous East Tennessee to go white water rafting and camping...just the 2 of us!  We got into town early so we checked in and got on an earlier trip!  We had to go through a quick training session, get our gear and then everyone loaded into 2 school buses and we were off!  The scenery was absolutely amazing!!  The leaves were changing and the weather was perfect...although it was 95 degrees out the water stays between 65-72 degrees so it was good that it was hot hot so it made the water more appealing!  We were in put together with a family of 4 and we toted our raft down to the water.  After that it was 5 miles of forward 2, back ,1 break!!   There was one point were the company had a camera hooked up and they got some great pics of us.  The guide had one of the girls and I do lay up front while we went through some great rapids and here are some of the pics...

After rafting, we headed back to the main office and then set up our campsite and then headed to dinner.  We went to a restaurant that was ok but we did run into some friends from Nashville which was kind of funny.  We went to Wal-mart and got skip-bo cards and a normal deck of cards so that we could drink beer, play cards and listen to the Vols first game of the season.  Such a great night with my husband!!!

My Old Man

No I'm not talking about my dad, I'm talking about Chris!  He turned 34 yesterday!!  We had a really laid back night because we are going white water rafting and camping this weekend.  First, I got him a new UT hat and a Predators huggie.  Then, Chris, Joey and I went to Rotier's for dinner.  YUMMY!!!  Plus, Jacob was working, so we got to hang him out with him at the bar.  I cannot tell you how good my burger was...so here's a pic to try and show you...

After dinner and few Bud heavys, we headed to the Brewhouse to meet Lauren for a few more drinks. It was good to see Joey and Lauren.  It had been a while and of course we had plenty to talk about (like doing ribs this weekend).  So that was Chris' birthday...low key but a good time was had by all!!!

4 Generations

Chris' grandmother Holzheimer passed away today at 94.  I can't believe we both lost our grandmothers within a month and a half of each other!  I never really got to know her because right when Chris and I met, they moved her to Nashville to an assisted living facility and she wasn't doing too well then.  Everyone seems to be doing fine and they are glad that she is not in pain anymore.  Here are the 4 generations...
