Birthday night(s)!

I had such a great 31st birthday!  I was out of town with work until Saturday night and when I got home Chris, Joanne and Jeremy were at my house.  We watched the UT game and hung out.  Then on Sunday we all went to church and then to Brewhouse 100 for beers and a long day of football!  Chris and I went home that night, ordered a pizza and then we went to bed!  Chris wasn't very happy that he did not get to do what he had planned so Wednesday night we had my 2nd bday celebration.  I got home from work and Chris got home an hour later...he went to whole foods and got my favorite fish, chiliean sea bass and he also made my birthday scallops!!!

Such an awesome meal!  and then he gave me a new titans t-shirt!

I love it and I love him!  great birthday

Labor Day Adventure

What a great holiday weekend!  Chris and I woke up early Saturday morning and headed to gorgeous East Tennessee to go white water rafting and camping...just the 2 of us!  We got into town early so we checked in and got on an earlier trip!  We had to go through a quick training session, get our gear and then everyone loaded into 2 school buses and we were off!  The scenery was absolutely amazing!!  The leaves were changing and the weather was perfect...although it was 95 degrees out the water stays between 65-72 degrees so it was good that it was hot hot so it made the water more appealing!  We were in put together with a family of 4 and we toted our raft down to the water.  After that it was 5 miles of forward 2, back ,1 break!!   There was one point were the company had a camera hooked up and they got some great pics of us.  The guide had one of the girls and I do lay up front while we went through some great rapids and here are some of the pics...

After rafting, we headed back to the main office and then set up our campsite and then headed to dinner.  We went to a restaurant that was ok but we did run into some friends from Nashville which was kind of funny.  We went to Wal-mart and got skip-bo cards and a normal deck of cards so that we could drink beer, play cards and listen to the Vols first game of the season.  Such a great night with my husband!!!

My Old Man

No I'm not talking about my dad, I'm talking about Chris!  He turned 34 yesterday!!  We had a really laid back night because we are going white water rafting and camping this weekend.  First, I got him a new UT hat and a Predators huggie.  Then, Chris, Joey and I went to Rotier's for dinner.  YUMMY!!!  Plus, Jacob was working, so we got to hang him out with him at the bar.  I cannot tell you how good my burger was...so here's a pic to try and show you...

After dinner and few Bud heavys, we headed to the Brewhouse to meet Lauren for a few more drinks. It was good to see Joey and Lauren.  It had been a while and of course we had plenty to talk about (like doing ribs this weekend).  So that was Chris' birthday...low key but a good time was had by all!!!

Titan Up

Chris and I were able to go where few have gone before...the Tennessee Titans training facility and practice field!!  It was awesome!!  The American Cancer Society had a fundraising event at the new facility and we volunteered so that we could get in on the action.  It started with titans game film, which I did not get to see because I was working the silent auction.  Then Chris' group came into the cafeteria where the silent auction was being held and where Carraba's was serving everyone dinner.  The coaches came in to eat right after Chris' group left.  I saw Bruce Matthews (hall of famer) and the new titans head coach - Mike Munchak. That was pretty cool.  After this group was done eating, I tagged along and did the rest of the tour.  We went to the locker room...

Chris Johnson's Locker

Then we went through the locker room to the weight room and then to The Bubble which holds their practice field.

Chris was in a different group and they sent me this pic!

After the tour, their was a live auction which went very well!!  Such a great night but then it was time to go home...

Goodnight Titans...you need your rest to kick some ass this season!

Running just as fast as you can...

Chris and I ran our first 5k this weekend!  We did the East Nashville Tomato Festival 5k.  I have never run over about 1.2 miles so I was sooooooo nervous but I made and here are a few photos...

 Before the run...

After the run...

After the run drink...Bloody Mary to celebrate the Tomatos :)

We finished in 39:35...well I did and Chris was 39:36 and I was 2 places above him at 891 out of 1106 finishers!  Not gonna win any races but we finished!  He said the could've passed me but that he wanted to run with me...he probably could've so that was really sweet!! Don't tell him I said that though!  I will deny it!

Lucky number 3

3 years down and many more to go!!!  We had such a great anniversary and did not even have to leave Nashville!  We both got home from work and poured a glass of wine in the wine glasses that I had engraved!

Cute huh??  Then he gave me a pair of diamond earrings!! LOVE THEM and do not want to take them off!!  We could've stopped there and I would've been fine but we didn't of course!  We went to dinner at Mafiaoza's for their 2-4-1 pizza and beer night.  We really just wanted to have a night that we went out and had a lot of fun hanging out because we have both been so busy lately.  The placed was packed and we loved it!  We had to wait for a minute but went to the bar and ordered a beer (2-4-1) and waited in that area.  We got a tale in about 15 minutes and it was outside which was so hot but we were seated right beside a HUGE fan!  Also, our table was in the corner so it was somewhat private which was nice.  Chris ordered this really spicy pasta - his favorite there- and I got an awesome salad that has the friend goat cheese medallions!  yummy!!  Next, we went bowling and I kicked his butt!!  We bowled 5 games, I won 3!!  Woo Hoo!!!  This was so much fun and we are going to be bowling a lot more!!  We ended the night by stopping the Brewhouse since that is where we met!

When we walked in Chris saw that they had karaoke and he looked right at me and said "DO NOT SING!!".  Oh he knows me so well but guess what- I did sing my favorite- Proud Mary- Tina Turner and it was awesome!!  When I got back to my seat he told me that it was actually my performance yet!!  haha  So after hanging out for a little bit we headed home.  I have to say that it was one of the most fun anniversaries and Chris told me that he wants to do this every year!!!!  No wonder 3 is my lucky number!!
